Exit Rule instead of Primary Exit String ?

StrataSearch has many powerful features, with many techniques and approaches to explore. Here we discuss the things we've done, and the things we'd like to do.

Exit Rule instead of Primary Exit String ?

Postby rjay » Thu Jun 20, 2013 8:58 am

I want to test a selection of Primary Entry Strings, to see whether they are statistically better than chance over time. So I want to replace the Primary Exit String with an arbritrary $daysheld = 10 (without manually editing every Rule). But it seems there is no way of setting up an Autosearch so that the Primary Exit string is replaced by an 'Always' Exit Rule, as there is no "Use this Exit Rule instead of Primary Exit Rule" option (only in addition to or as an alternative to).

Is there any other way of accomplishing this ?

No, there isn't a feature to replace the Primary rule's exit string. But you can set the Primary Exit String to an expression that never happens (0=1), and then create and use the Exit Rules of your choice.
