A sampling of U.S. benchmark performances in 2011 --

Dow Jones Industrials Average: 5.5%
Standard & Poors 500: 0.0%
NASDAQ Composite: -1.8%
NASDAQ 100: 2.7%
Russell 2000: -5.5%
Value Line Geometric: -11.4%
Reuters CRB: -8.3%
10-Year Treasury Note: 2.7% (average)
EURUSD: -3.2%
JPYUSD: 4.6%
Consumer Price Index: 3.4% (estimate)
Gross Domestic Product: 3.9% (estimate)

The stock indexes diverged between themselves during the last half of 2010. The last time we saw a similar pattern was in 2007, which proved to be a bearish omen for the following year.
