Serial Numbers are for One Computer Only
StrataSearch Version 3.0 Serial Numbers are purchased and generated for a single computer only, identified by a Machine ID created in part by the Volume Number of the C: Drive. Serial Numbers are non-transferable, so you may not use a single license on more than one computer, even if usage on the machines is not simultaneous. Additional Serial Numbers may be purchased at discounted rates if you wish to run StrataSearch on multiple machines.

Multiple Serial Number Discount
Once you have purchased a Serial Number at full price, you may purchase up to 5 additional Serial Numbers at a 50% discount. Contact us at after you have made your first purchase, and we will provide you with a unique Price Code that will allow you to make 5 Serial Number purchases at half-price. Once you have purchased 5 additional Serial Numbers at the discounted rate, you must purchase the next at full price to restart the discount.

Machine Replacement or Upgrade
While Serial Numbers are purchased specifically for a single computer, Avarin Systems Inc may, at our discretion, allow you to transfer a serial number to a new or upgraded computer. Such transfers will not be allowed at a rate of more than once per 6-month period, and proof of ownership of a new or upgraded computer (such as an invoice or receipt) will be required along with a signed statement requesting the transfer. Contact us at if you would like more information on transferring a serial number. This transfer option does not in any way alter or override the End User License Agreement (EULA) stating that a Serial Number is purchased for one machine only.

Software Piracy
Avarin Systems Inc takes software piracy very seriously. Software theft and piracy is an international crime punishable by unlimited fines and up to 10 years in prison. Avarin Systems Inc will report any discovered instances of software theft or piracy to the proper authorities, including IP addresses, names, mailing addresses, and any other information we have at our disposal that could lead to prosecution.
