Beta Version 4.4.905 Released

Postby Avarin » Wed May 05, 2010 12:43 pm

An upgrade to Beta Version 4.4.905 is now available, containing a number of important fixes to the latest release.

MANUAL UPGRADE TO 4.4.905 REQUIRED FOR SOME USERS
A bug was discovered in versions 4.4.900, 4.4.901 and 4.4.902 that prevents the Help > Check for Updates menu from being used to install StrataSearch updates. For this reason, a manual StrataSearch upgrade must be downloaded and run to upgrade these versions to 4.4.905. To check your StrataSearch version, open the Help > About menu within StrataSearch.

The following revisions have been made in this release:

* Set default starting prices for Yahoo Import to 1980 from 2000. The beta release had previously been downloading prices from Yahoo Finance only back to the year 2000. This release corrects that and pulls prices back to 1980 by default. Users that have already pulled a full set of prices may want to use the 2nd option to "Clear Previous Prices" on the File > Import Prices menu the next time prices are imported. This will refresh all prices and reload them going back as far as 1980.

* Make Subscription User and Password a system-wide setting. StrataSearch users running a subscription will no longer need to enter a new User and Password when creating a new Data Folder. The User and Password settings are now system-wide, and will therefore not be required when creating a new Data Folder.

* Refresh default symbols/prices used when starting a new Data Folder. The default prices and symbol lists used when creating a new Data Folder have now been refreshed with current data.

To upgrade your Beta Release, use the Help > Check for Updates menu if you have version 4.4.903 or higher. Otherwise, download and install the following:
